I can see

THE SEA
by justme

I stood before the ridging waves
falling down then rising up, rolling forward effortlessly.
Feet lowered in sinking sand as tiny tickles spread my toes
Foaming white lusciousness, popped and fizzled
Tiny objects pushed forward then pulled back
Salt upon my lips left behind by a soft hidden breeze.
Always sun upon my face.

No man could plan this scene
No man could create the sand, the sparkling water, the taste of salt.
Not even one grain of sand can he create.
Yet it is everywhere.
Infinite intelligence waved the wand
From some place else it did conceive
For now, I can but look, and see myself.
Silent joy as I am part of this picture. This scene.
Where else shall I look that I might believe?
What else did I miss before me?
Through these eyes of light I now perceive
My god, my god, look my friends.
I can see !

Family

SHOW ME THE MAN WHO DOES NOT LOVE
by justme

Show me the man who does not love
The life that he does lead
A forgetful man, a wanting man
just longing to succeed.

Show me the man who does not love
the family he has built
A broken man, a soaken man
a man refused of guilt.

Show me the man who does not love
The quiet of nights sleep
A valiant man, a daring man
His home to duty keep.

Show me the man who does not dream
of perfection as his own
A strident man, a steady man
His life he give alone.

Show me the man who does not love
the fulfillment of being right
A stronger man, a determined man
a man who stands to fight.

Show me the man who does not love
the friends and family tie.
An honest man, a hopeful man
a man who hides to cry.

Show me the man who does not love
The freedom promised from god
A fearing man, a compliant man
a man doomed to sod.

Show me the man who does not lose
the desire to be free
whose every wrong and every right
is all so he can see.
Such is the man that I am now
let angels shout out loud
Let rivers burst and valleys roar
Instruct and chase the cloud.

And when all men’s thoughts and noise and dash
finally settles down
Let stillness seep and nature keep
let there be no further sound

Then show me the man who does not love.

Destiny

DESTINY
by justme

Stillness thunders a powerful prose
Eyes they shudder, stutter and close.
Eight stone of muscle, meat and bone, weighs upon the bed, all alone.
A presence proved by a slightly sunken bed.
No movement now, for she, she is dead.

Our Father in heaven, who to hell are you?
Why was it her? What did she, an innocence do?
You killed the beauty before my eyes
Now the earth has lost, yet it’s only I,
who cries.

Invisible pain clamps my gut, rips my heart, dried mouth wide shut.
I’m over there across the room, my body stands, yet I see it’s gloom.
Mind it drifts as salty tears they creep, I enter a moments, a moments dreamy sleep.

Young perfect face and bright happy eyes, smiling lips and to my surprise,
she’s tall and elegant,
yet, shes so softly shy.

She won’t  look straight, head it flops
as she walks toward me, for me,
time it stops.
Behold the beauty before my eyes, we met by fate, to fulfil our lives.
Lips meet cheek, fingers entwine, my chest it displays, this girl is mine.

Then I knew…

This human meeting of this girl and a boy, was forged in the mountains, rivers and sky.
It was determined before the birth of the sun, it was an idea before the first river had run.
It’s etched on the surface and the core of the moon, the stars spell our names
they dance to our tune.

Then I return…

Eyes they open, she’s still dead, a silent body on a silent bed.
Memories still fill this holy place, beauty still fills her sleeping face.
I feel you woman, I sense you near, no answer comes, can you hear?
A girl leaves a man, a husband a wife.
Such is the way,
such is, my life.

Fly her home

THE TEARS OF MAN
by justme

And so it is, the tears of man
Chrystal clear before time began
Touch the timeless of courser skin
Made not by her but as time begin.
Hollow eyes, magic drops, saddened he, and time it stops
Grey dried hair, the timeless still, daunted moment, only itself can fill.
Whispering air calls a breath, from babe to woman and now to death.
Stillness fills an unfulfillable time, a woman ends an endless rhyme
Silence fills an aching heart, timeless pain, nowhere to start.
Sinking bodies cry alone,
Gods angels call
Then they fly her home

Ask

The answers are found in the simple, not the vague and unclear.
Simply ask with confidence and watch your world appear.

Transcendence

COME WITH ME
by justme

Come with me sweet children of life…
Dance the dance with all your might.
For the day is closing and soon will be the night.
The earth is slowing and you will still lose the fight.
Light your heart upon the stars, ballet dance from Earth to Mars.
Fill your body with the wine of life, leave thy troubles, plagues and strife.

Come and fly in the golden light my child, that fears nor denies the coming night, run wild.
Close your eyes and die in me,
surrender yourself,
let thy wings fall free.

For I shall hold you in my arms, I shall protect from all that harms.
For am I am the blood from whence you came,
I am the player within your game.

The baggage carrier

We through gathering baggage from the time we first ‘arrived’ on this plane of existence, have gathered information, have followed example and learned habit. This invariably leads to our ‘human nature’. Although we cannot always see it we have a starting point which is based on what we believe to be absolutely true. Through this belief we assume for something to be correct it has to operate in a certain manner, we egotistically believe we know how for example, an enlightened individual should behave, and cannot comprehend whenever any individual does not seem to ‘live up’ to our understanding. We convince ourselves that we have open minds, but it is us, the baggage carrier, who is the convincer, it is us who have created a false starting point.

If one truly wants to learn, then we must be of quiet mind and be willing to sit with the tax collector and protect the prostitute, with the understanding. I have come to this world and I do not know where I am. I will not accept everything that is said whether that be by a sage, a traitor or a tormentor. I will through listening, beginning with knowing nothing, watch and ‘feel’ for the voice that says ‘I and the father are one and the same’. Through this experience we can perhaps connect with the real truth, which then we will never forget. When we have something that we never forget we will never lose it, no matter how many times we return to the baggage carrier.

The rock

I am that ‘rock’ that amazing creature named, yet as a rock, I knew no name, I held no time, I held no place.
Then the creature came, it held me as in photography, it cut and claimed my boundaries, it coloured me and wrapped a chain to hold my heart, it suffocated me.
Yet this chain, it has both ends and although one end contracts upon my skin, the other, attaches to the mind and soul of that creature, it weighed heavy upon that heart, it weighs heavy upon my heart, when first they named me, when first they chained their minds.
We the things of freedom, we the indescribable, we the timeless….
It bound us then, this creatures thing…
It bound us then….

It still does

Ord/ Words

Words, that strange expression attributed to groupings of letters, conjured, gathered, held, to form our ideas, each word lofted and championed as only of its own essence, yet tainted, turned and taunted by our own attachment.

Letters of communication, gathered under the lie of non affiliation, acclaimed as singular of meaning and affect, yet practised with the bluntness of a carving knife and the lightness of custard.

We the arbitrators uphold the system, deny the invasion and post the intricate.

Fight

FIRE OF LIFE
by justme

I fight the fire of life
Misty cool welcome droplets, sooth the gaps of skin.
Yellow, crackling, whipping flames, lick the walls
Spread and spill a knifing, probing, tonguing palm
Grasping and ripping, clinging and spitting.
Anything within it’s reach.
She devours not eats.

Pressing unwelcome forcing jet, steals the space.
For now.
Steaming frontline cloud quickly abandon the scene
Persistence the key.
Fiery villain moves along to search another crevice
No hiding place has she.
She turns like a bitten beast to snap the intruder.
But cannot flee.

Slowly and not without a fighting flicking kick.
She like a shadow  crawls back down the wall
Her trailing black snailing cloak, left behind.
She subdued, fights for a hopeless victory
Not until she is truly dead can she be touched.

The fight is over..

Her warming glow now welcome as the cool night air hits and nips.
The silence of the night is all around as her spirit
in a cloud, now more white than black
Joins the watery mist
As they twist and turn and dance towards the stars
Weaving and worming through the ether
In a laughing playful way.

Fair thee well oh fiery one
Join you tomorrow with the blazing sun
I fought you as my destroying foe
I killed you yes, but now I know.
You are but my sister dear
You and I will be forever and an eternity near
You and I will live always,
And forever,
right here.

She never did surrender, nor will I .
