The wind not of air

THE WIND NOT OF AIR
by justme

‘Go away oh wind so cold, your stabbing knives
Of force are not welcome here’
‘Who could create such a vile and unwanted thing?’
Oxygen, my food, so very near.
Yet, you force my breath as I gulp for life,
‘You chase it from me and distract upon my memory, when once upon a time
This man was free’
Go away that I may think, you thumping, drunken, slapping stink.

I AM THE WIND.

Cry not oh human upon a memory, yet forget the wind
For it held you close and tucked you neath the ancient heavenly stars
It never once asked, if you have ever sinned
It’s thundering words came like showers
Shivering through the fields and rivers, trees and flowers

For I , I am the wind, I hold the memory of yesteryear
And then, and now
Feel my touch of love, feel my warmth chase away and steer
Around your fingers, i wrap and tangle and show you how
The dream of memory is always near,
And yet
I hold also the promises of tomorrow, without your fear.

For I am the wind that started there and here
Though I be turbulent, tumultuous and wild
Also can I be caressingly near
Gentle and innocent
Holding the emptiness and potentiality of any mothers child.

Close your eyes and touch my emptiness
That you may feel my fullness and allow me,
to  carry you
My source, my friend, my forever master
Let go and let me sway and swing you homeward,
Now and,
Ever faster.

And a wind not of air but of spirit passed through me
The veil it dropped the clouds they cleared
The road raised up, the forests cheered
It lifted me high so I could see.
Perfect stillness
This man is free.

Fight

FIRE OF LIFE
by justme

I fight the fire of life
Misty cool welcome droplets, sooth the gaps of skin.
Yellow, crackling, whipping flames, lick the walls
Spread and spill a knifing, probing, tonguing palm
Grasping and ripping, clinging and spitting.
Anything within it’s reach.
She devours not eats.

Pressing unwelcome forcing jet, steals the space.
For now.
Steaming frontline cloud quickly abandon the scene
Persistence the key.
Fiery villain moves along to search another crevice
No hiding place has she.
She turns like a bitten beast to snap the intruder.
But cannot flee.

Slowly and not without a fighting flicking kick.
She like a shadow  crawls back down the wall
Her trailing black snailing cloak, left behind.
She subdued, fights for a hopeless victory
Not until she is truly dead can she be touched.

The fight is over..

Her warming glow now welcome as the cool night air hits and nips.
The silence of the night is all around as her spirit
in a cloud, now more white than black
Joins the watery mist
As they twist and turn and dance towards the stars
Weaving and worming through the ether
In a laughing playful way.

Fair thee well oh fiery one
Join you tomorrow with the blazing sun
I fought you as my destroying foe
I killed you yes, but now I know.
You are but my sister dear
You and I will be forever and an eternity near
You and I will live always,
And forever,
right here.

She never did surrender, nor will I .

Fire

FIRE
by justme

Have you fire my friend?
Do the lashing flames tear the flesh of obstinate men?
Do the curves and flicks, lick the calming lips of,
blessed men?
Does the fire of true memory, companion with light,
to chase darkness away?
Or do you subtly, slowly, seductively
convince it of its nothingness?

Do you envelope the frosting, shaking child, with glowing warmness
that protrudes and devours that  icy, lifeless cold
To replace it with chocolate tinker belles
Releasing lavender droplets
and sunset rolls.
Accepting nothing less
But a glowing fest
Of love.

Do you roar from the heavens?
“I am that which is brave, I drag my fear, kicking and screaming until it relents,
For I am the master of fear and fear shall never be my master”

Do you whisper to the wind?
“I am love and though love leaves me I shall always await it’s return
for love and I long for each other, we are as rain and the river”
Do you stand above the mountain top and spreading your arms wide shout
“I am as the sun, I emit my everything to you my flesh and blood,
I throw my coloured cloak of kindness to you, that you may suffocate with warmth of my hallowed heart”
If you can do this,
my child,
You have fire!

The Wind

THE WIND
By justme

Silence and stillness fills the air
The things of earth, prepare.
Expectancy the hidden chant as bombing single drops of cloud
Signals and lays the path like a blackened, darkening shroud.
Enveloping the land like an umbrella shading the sun.
Day becomes night, no escape the moment,
the wind it shall come.

Stampeding howl roars through resistant fighting trees
Which bend like the archers bow before it frees,
Yet long for a prouder straighter stance do they.
Yet like the worshipped before their idol, they humbly pray,
in respect of a greater, more powerful one,
than they.

Shivering, flickering leaves rattle and quiver in it’s ferocious wake.
Their tiny stems grip their stronger brother branch, and quake.
He shudders, whips and bends but holds firm the master trunk.
Who’s very sturdiness and resistance, could leave them all defunct.

Some leaves succumb the battering remorseless thrash
and go hurtling and swirling and diving to finally, inevitably, crash
and await tomorrow a rotting silent death.
In rumps and stench of their withering, soggy, brothers breath,
Tempting the sliming worms to draw them to a darkened eerie place, far from the elevated godly heights where they danced a  happy song,
with grace.

Others move and twist and turn upon the winds request
They fight that the sun tomorrow may shine once again and heat their gorging face, they fight that they may live, to be their best.
They fight so they might give.
It is a futile fight,
The fight to live.

For all shall take and all shall give, as all shall return that which has been taken, that they might live.
And to the earth, the ground, the dirt, shall all things be drawn,
To wait a moments breath,
until  the moment of a new day, a brighter,
better dawn
When all things shall once more,

live again.

Thunder

THUNDER
by justme

Distance thunder thumps and kicks

Heavens lights flash with golden flicks

Bubbling clouds with black-laced trim

Gurgle and sponge as the earth grows dim.

Ears and eyes feel a gap between

Ambient universe speaks of that not seen.

Darkened shadow creeps quietly along

Willow warbler withdraws its summer song

Planets creatures flirt an eye to the sky

Human child looks and wonders why.

Half topped pond sits silently agape

Blossoming trees await their rape.

Long end grass wilts and bends

Anticipation for all heaven sends.

Crashing darts of a crying cloud

Matches the tremble and devils shroud

Suppressed power will unleash a gale

Canopies of trees bloat as a wind filled sail

Resistance useless as earth succumbs

Whistling telegraph wire shivers and hums

Wandering seagulls flow for cover

Orbing microcosm,

Orbed by our own earth mother.
