These simple moments

WHEN YOU AND I ARE ONE
by justme

Once upon a deeper night in the land of hushabye
An angel met an angel and together they did cry.
They cried upon a perfect moment, but never would it come
They cried upon a stopping silence, that ne’re again would run

For moments come and moments go, that you and I, know true
Moments kept and moments lost, no moment, can we renew
For such things are written in our hearts, and shaped in tempered gold
They rise within an instant, they are held within our soul.

They travel with us from birth to death, their path it is not loud.
They never speak, they never shout, they ignore the maddened crowd
They held their time in camps of death at Chelmno and Sobibor
At the place called Thermopylae, they held a reeling roar.

At the feet of Ghandi they did fall, and Madiba held their hand.
Connolly stretchered to their song, Annie Moore, to a new land.
They echo at the French Bastille and when Lincoln honoured Ross
They were seated neath the Bohdi tree and upon a Roman cross.

They are that which we could miss so quick, they happen oh so fast
They never seem so important, we know they’ll never last.
Yet it is these moments, these simple moments, which are separate from mans time.
No fingers touch, no space can catch, this moment, called sublime.

They live the lakes,
They grow the fields,
They hold the moon, the stars, the sun.
They are the perfect moments, when you and I are one.∞

Coming home

..and I shall say upon the stranger, take off your coat, for you have arrived now to that so longed after place, the place impregnated within your heart. Take off your coat and lay it gently beside that warming, ember fire.
Then sit, rest a while, for your journey has been long and longer still, your feet have held your hearts true intent, yet at times you dragged an Island upon your back, only to find a mountain.
Silent now, rest for now, my good and perfect guest. Rest a while, lay your head upon my shoulder, remember them, the special ones, think of them, the now silent ones. Rest now, it is not just you, for the sun grows weary too, the moon falls dark and quieter still, the stars fight no more.
Lay your head upon my shoulder, let your face be warmed by the glow of the throbbing, searing coals, for I am here, I am, is here and I shall rock you carefully, gently, silently asleep.
Oh troubled one, lay your troubles to the door, cry silently, but..perfectly, perfectly….

From a soul that must

OUR FATHER
by justme

Our father where are you? Who are you ? Who am I?
I have spat words and words, added opinion until I cry.
I have pursued things and people, selfish, imaginary wealth.
I have believed I was the orchestrator,
the giver and taker of health.
I have ignored the call and fall from birth to tomb
Whoever, whatever you are?
I fall silent.
I have ran out of room!

Floating ember fairy lights pin up the sky

While, shooting falling teardrops, break up and cry

to spread across a black hallowed darkness of empty space

And flash a vast peaceful picture, through almighty grace.

Tiny human, looks on, as a slight, delicate, speck of dust

yet releases a powerful silent whisper, from a soul that must,

Find it’s place within this vastness of all things unknown,

Just a human and this thing called universe, innocently, quietly, all alone.

She falls silent

and gently, beautifully, she slips home.

The greatest treasure

Seek not the farther good, seek not that which seems beyond the pale, but rather look for your joy within your brothers heart, for it is in the heart of your neighbour lies the greatest treasure. It is in the laughter of your chat and the babble of your children, in the rush of the morning and at the busy breakfast table you shall find your joy

and he continued:

many have sought in the clouds or sought peace in another, but few have entered the silent place, few have understood they cannot see because the universe has chose it so, let you not be like them, let you when you hear the words – this is wrong, this is right, let you know that every right and every wrong is but only wrong or right for you.

When confusion lifts her bedraggled head let your heart and mind and soul cry out, I dont know! Then the universe shall lift you and holding you close and gently stroking your head it shall rock you to sleep, and you will wish to know no more.

Who am I ?

I WALK ALONE
by justme

I walk alone
A slow enduring walk
I lift my head to look around
Food for life I need
Slowly, delicately, no talk.

Hide me, don’t notice me
I shake my head
Is this my life?
No one to help
Who am I ?

I want to break free
I want to be me
Let me be alive
Please, no more I strive

Is this who I am?
Oh life what are you ?
Who am I ?
What do I belong too?

Then with glimpse I see
Old falls away
What is this fantastic dress?
Not mine, not yours
Who am I ?
Coloured beauty ecstasy
Who is this?
Or why ?

I know not why
But with everything I spread wide
To seek the source
Now a butterfly I

Full of overflowing love…

BEAUTY OR LOVE

by justme

Who can ever express beauty or love?
Has any man the ability to withhold?
Oh, to see this simple thing

And to understand it’s not we who sing
Ride the train of life my love
End the tapestry of  pain and strife you wove

You are but the beholder not the giver of such
Only God and the invisible can give so much.
Understand no ability have you to withhold

Rain it falls on the young and old.
In the deepest depths of who you are
Gold and frankincense build a tailored tower
How or when or what you think you give
The giver is and only the giver gives

Now is full of overflowing love
Of bursting hearts and flirting doves
While time is still and love complete.

I sit in silence at the masters feet.

And you do well to watch your thought
May God just give, for you my friend, cannot. ∞

Come sing with me

COME SING WITH ME
by justme

Come sing with me, oh choir of man for knaves and kings and precious things
You have not known or understand. Come dance with me, oh child of God
For her and he and all things free, while you still move above the sod

Come lie with me, oh queen of life, for want and will and endless still
That knows not of the human strife, come pray with me, oh spirit child
For tower and tree and bird and bee, that knows there is no wild

Come sleep with me, oh prince of peace, for dark to day and to find a way
That knows all tongue will rest and cease,
Come home with me,
O blessed might
For touch and time, and your life sublime,
that knows you are my loving light

Your now with me, oh spirit man, destiny unfold the master plan
You arrived back home from where you came.
Despite you playing, the human game.

Rest now, all is well….. ∞

I want to love forever

HUMAN
by justme

I want to love forever
Touch my hand, hold me closer
Rest your head upon this shoulder
For the wind blows fierce and raw
Darkness descends
This night suffocates
Everything feels much colder

I don’t want to live forever
Just want to be with you
I will wait a thousand years or lives
To see you again
To feel what I feel here now
I just want to be together

Oh death, tell me the secret of life
When you come is that us over
No more the essence or the touch
No more the voice.
Oh death
Why does love not amount to much?

Rattling bones within a box
All alone,
We wait..
We wait to rot. ∞

Take me home

PRAYER OF THE SILENT RIVER
by justme

Silent river run your stream
Teach me now of all unseen.
Silent river going where?
You weave and dance without a care.

Silent river like a pain ignored
A crutch attached,human man ignored.
Silent river, not so silent now.
Where or when or if or how.

Silent river filled with dreams.
Teasing, tempting is what it seams.
Your going where? Please let us know.
Men don’t know, yet the babble flows.

Silent river please take me home.
To the land were mothers angels roam
And I shall rest and deeply sleep
To dream of past and my secrets keep.

Silent river now I shall die.
I shall never know if you will so cry.
But silent river you shall carry me on.
Until you stop where I belong.

Silent river my fathers here.
The sound of time, no longer near.
Silent river wash my hand
…..

…..and lay me gently, upon the silent land. ∞

And then one night…

...and then the dream within the dream, it chased the shadows, then loved serene. Knowledged humans believed in weak, they twisted silence beyond the meek, the ego leapt, only itself to keep. And then one night when all was still, the breathing throbbed the dream was killed. A soul it silenced no word need speak, no dream of dream was there to seek. A silent tear it slipped the eye, killed the thought, and simply….cried.
The heavens opened and earth it held, the voice inside neither laughed or yelled, but within that moment all was clear, no more strangers, all now are near. Brother, sister was no more, silence thundered as a mighty roar… and as moment danced, it dance with joy, opinion gone, no more they cry. ∞
