Surrender your chains

SURRENDER YOUR CHAINS
by Rachel

Hello my silent friend
I wonder what has bound you
Made you mute and clipped your wings?
Surrender your chains
And in exchange
I’ll wrap you round in swathes of silk
To hold you fast
To heal and protect
To keep you safe but let you grow

When all that is
Is not
And everything that is not
Appears to be
I’d rather have less of what I want
Than everything of what I do not need

About Michaela

I am a wanderer and a wonderer, like you are. I love our journey and to walk in the company of friends – to learn, experience, share, laugh, cry and above all I simply love this marvelous, magical, mysterious life. I have no plan (cannot believe I am saying this) and my only intention is to be truthful to myself and others.
